# CLI 0.0.4-microsoft-preview.13

Released September 9, 2026. Microsoft migration engine preview; stable `latest` remains 0.0.3.

## Startup license summary

- Show license details directly below the startup ASCII word art.
- Display the purchased license expiry separately from the short-lived device certificate expiry.
- Show remaining migration units, named-user seats, registered applications, and client organizations from the verified signed certificate.
- Label balances as cached, not live, with the certificate issue timestamp. No extra network requests or metering changes are made just to display the summary.
- Show additional assessment allowance or Unlimited. Remaining assessment usage is unavailable because the licensing service does not supply that counter.
- Handle missing activation, expired licenses, expired certificates, and offline grace explicitly. Unknown fields in older certificates are not guessed.
- Preserve clean JSON, redirected output, CI, help, and version output. `--no-banner` hides both the art and summary; `NO_COLOR` remains supported.

## Refresh existing installations

The licensing backend now includes contract expiry and usage counts in newly
issued signed certificates. After installing this preview, refresh your existing
certificate to receive these fields:

```powershell
Invoke-WebRequest 'https://tools.lambogenius.com/lambogenius-integration-migration/0.0.4-microsoft-preview.13/install-cli.ps1' -OutFile install-cli-preview13.ps1
# Review the downloaded script before running it.
& .\install-cli-preview13.ps1 -SkipDependencies
li.cmd --version
li.cmd license refresh
```

The summary printed before `license refresh` shows the previous snapshot; the
next command displays the refreshed data. Refreshing does not reset usage or
extend the purchased license term. Omit `-SkipDependencies` if prerequisites
also need installation. Use `li.cmd` in PowerShell to avoid its built-in `li` alias.

## Verification

211 CLI tests, 38 backend licensing tests, and production-bundle startup/stage
smoke tests passed. Tests cover signed fixtures, legacy/missing/expired licenses,
unknown usage, remaining quotas, narrow terminals, output suppression, and unchanged
authorization. No customer activation, usage counters, or migration output was changed.
